The week-long celebration of Araw ng Nunungan 2018 is all set, according to the municipal Mayor’s office. The celebration is tied up with the 52nd observance of the town’s foundation and Buntong Festival that culminates every 29th day of June.
The activities will start with Fun Walk, Zumba, Kalilang Competition, Sports Day ( Voleyball, Basketball, Chess) 1st Mayor Marcos Mamay Tennis Tournament and concert of Idol Hussien at Poblacion.
Residents of the municipality will avail free basic services on June 28 during Peoples Day at the town proper. The first ever Search for Potre ng Nunungan will follow and live concert of GMA Artist Angelo Mamay with the rest of the members of Four Dimension at Barangay Masibay.
The culmination program of Araw ng Nunungan will be attended by officials from the province, regional directors and representative from the office of President Duterte. The activity will also be highlighted with Civic Parade, judging of Barangay Booth contest.
An ultra Fun Climb with the members of Mindanao Mountaineering Federation (MFF) from MCC Tubod going up to Mt. Inayawan will conclude the activities on June 30, 2018.
The first Buntong Festival of Nunungan is one of the highlights for the annual commemoration of the town initiated by the municipal officials sperheaded by Mayor Marcos Mamay with the untiring support of LGU employees and various partners from government and private entities.
