CHIKITING LIGTAS: MEASLES-RIBELLA ORAL POLIOVIRUS VACCINE SUPPLEMENTAL IMMNUNIZATION ACTIVITY (MRSIA) AND VITAMIN A SUPPLEMENTATION 2023

The Rural Health Unit of Nunungan, Lanao del Norte successfully started the campaign of MR-OPV SIA in Brgy. Masibay and Brgy. Kaludan, Nunungan, Lanao del Norte.

The goal of this month-long activity is to prevent impending outbreaks of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPDs) and the continuous rise of measles in the country by protecting children ages 9-59 months old against measles and rubella with the vaccination of one dose of Measles-Rubella vaccine, and 0-59 months old against poliovirus type 1 and 3 with the vaccination of one dose of bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine.

Just as, together with the Department of Health, the Rural Health Unit of Nunungan encouraging all parents or guardians to join the mass vaccination against measles and rubella.
