200 PMA GRADUATES AND NON-GRADUATES, GATHERED FOR THE FIRTS PMA GATHERING IN NORMIN

More than 200 graduates and non-graduates of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) gathered for the first PMA gathering in northern Mindanao held at Mahogany Hills, Iligan City on November 18, 2023.

Celebrity guests at the gathering are actresses Natasha Ledesma and Jeric Raval. The trailer of the movie Mamay: The Great Man of Nunungan was also shown where the experiences of Mayor Marcos Mamay in Nunungan, Lanao del Norte were shown. The film aims to inspire the public that poverty is not an obstacle to success.

Mayor Marcos Mamay is also very grateful for what she learned as a former cadet in the PMA class of 2004.

“Who would have thought that we would become mayor without the discipline. That’s the big thing we learned from PMA. We are very much thankful. We applied the learnings from PMA to real life,” he said.

As vice president for external affairs of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Mamay is active in international events representing the Philippines.
