3RD QUARTER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING

Cagayan de Oro City – Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay, the National Vice-President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines for External Affairs formally attended the RDC-X Economic Development Committee endorsed to the RDC-X Full Council the proposed activity design for the action plan to localize the Philippines National Determined Contribution (NDC) Polices and Measures (PAMs) during its third quarter meeting on 14 September 2023.

The NDC highlights the country’s target climate actions, climate-related targets, and policies and measures (PAMs) to reduce national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

The Committee also endorsed to the RDC-X the request for the Congress to file a bill for the extension of the implementation of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF). The Committee also supported the house bills authored by Congressman Jose Manuel Alba supporting the bamboo industry.

Hon Frederick W. Siao, Chairperson of the RDC-X EDC and Mayor of the City of Iligan, presided over the meeting held at the NEDA-X/RDC-X Building, Main Conference Room, Cagayan de Oro City.
