Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay attended the recent Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) Board Meeting on Mt. Inawayan and reiterated his support against the continuous illegal logging activities on the outlying communities inside the protected zone.
The activity was personally attended by 2nd District Congressman Abdullah Dimaporo, PENRO Mamacaya Lucman, PASU Saiben Mampao, CENRO Kolambugan officials, PNP and AFP officials.
“Our concerted effort is inevitable and we need to enforce what is necessary because this effort would not turn in vain but very important to protect our remaining protected area – the Mt. Inayawan,” Mayor Mamay mentioned.
“We appreciate the support and perseverance of Mayor Mamay for environmental protection especially for the Mt. Inayawan protected area,” PENRO Lucman stressed.
The MIRNP meeting was also participated via online by DENR Regional Director Arleigh Adorable and MSU-IIT school representative.
