The Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) ICT-enabled services has reached far-off areas in the country and established thousands of eCenters. Recently, DICT launched its e-center in the town of Nunungan, Lanao del Norte.

The launching of Tech4Ed Center in Nunungan according to Mayor Marcos Mamay, is another breakthrough for his town that would alleviate the skills of Nununganians using the latest technology. The center is located at barangay Masibay.

“It is the very first time the DICT conducted its launching in the interior municipality and its here in our town. Thank you so much DICT for this program. To the provincial officer – Engr. Owieda Smith, Tech4Ed Project Coordinator – Mary Myrrh Garganera, and Saipoden Balangue thank you for your support,” Mayor Mamay stressed.

Tech4Ed Project technically means ‘Technology for Education to gain Employment, train Entrepreneurs towards Economic development.’ It will give communities access to information, communication, technology, government services, non-formal education, skills training, telehealth, job markets, and business portals.
