The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Lanao del Norte conducted forum attended by different representatives to tackle on protocols and standard procedures in times of calamities. The event was held at MCC Hotel Function Hall, Tubod town.
Majority of town mayors were present during the said event. According to DILG officials the objective of the event was to revisit specific interventions and what actions being done by MRRMO’s during Typhoon Vinta damageed the lives, agriculture and infrastructures of the province.
The forum emphasized that municipal disaster actions centers should be the key actors of disaster events to ensure fast response and reliable data gathering.
Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay also attended this event with his Municipal Risk Reduction, Management Officer Mark Carillo. The event was spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
