The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) opened another Negosyo Center in the province situated in the municipality of Nunungan, to further address the needs of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

DTI Provincial Director Ruel Paclipan with Mayor Marcos Mamay led the launching with the presence of municipal, barangay officials and other concerned stakeholders.

“Considering the distance to and from the coastal centers, transporation is one of the major concerns of our MSMEs in far-flung barangays. With the establishment of a Negosyo Center in your town, various opportunities and services will now be brought closer to MSMEs here in Nunungan in order to promote their growth and development,” DTI Director Paclipan said.

The creation of the Negosyo Centers is congruent to Republic Act No. 10644 otherwise known as the “Go Negosyo Act” that stipulates for the establishment of Negosyo Centers in all provinces, cities and municipalities.

“We are very thankful to DTI for establishing Go Negosyo Center here in our town. This is a national government policy under R.A. 10644 to foster national development, promote inclusive growth, and reduce poverty by encouraging the establishment of MSMEs that facilitate local job creation, production and trade particularly in the countryside, “Mayor Mamay explained.
