A 12-classroom building will be built soon as the project ground already broke and will be named as Abdullah Al Mutawwa Comprehensive School situated in the barangay Paridi, Nunungan town.

The school will have amenities inside like clinic, mosque and a hospital with a total project cost of ten (10) million pesos. The said school is a project for Balance Education (English and Arabic Program with TESDA offered courses) partnered with the State of Kuwait. It will cater elementary students, secondary and for those who will take vocational courses.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Region IX Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Director Dr. ZULFIKAR J. ABANTAS was invited as Special Guest during the launching and Groundbreaking Ceremony. Also in attendance are MMEDFI-AMC Executive Officials headed by His Excellency Dr. Abdulkahar A. Kumpa, Sheik Ustadz Aczah Alim, Maam Raihana and others.

The said project is for the peace-loving constituents of the municipality of Nunungan and this project was organized, coordinated and facilitated through his humbled leadership of His Excellency Dr. Abdulkahar A. Kumpa in partnership with his foreign associates based in the State of Kuwait.

The team proceeded to Mount Inayawan Range National Park and Lake Nunungan for a nippy exploratory meeting participated by officials of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte (PGLDN), National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA), JCI – Greenfields, Barangay Officials, Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army.

However, experts say that the birthing or creation of Nunungan Integrated Tourism Development Program (NITDP), led by Mayor Marcos Mamay is very instrumental because it focuses on peace, development and good governance for the town of Nunungan.

“These overflowing support that we received from various benevolent officials from provincial, national government and even those coming from non-government organizations, and the State of Kuwait is a clear indicator of their trust and confidence on our governance, that we could deliver tangible initiatives for the betterment of the people of Nunungan,” Mayor Mamay lamented.
