Personnel of the MDRRMO, municipality of Nunungan headed by Mark Carillo showcased the best practices on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management as the LGU vies for this year’s Gawad Kalasag Award for Excellence.
DILG Validation Team visited the town recently to assess all needed documents for the annual endowing of best LGU’s in the entire region.
MDRRM Officer Carillo explained that the LGU is continuously in pursuit of establishing an effective team with well-trained personnel who underwent various trainings and seminars.
Through the support of Mayor Marcos Mamay, the municipal government adds and upgrades its supplies and equipment utilizing the DDRM funds.
“Salamat nahuman ra gyud ang mga needed docments after pila ka months nga preparation. Thanks to all MDRRM staff and of course sa mga local officials of LGU Nunungan labi na kang Mayor Marcos Mamay. We continue to work hard for best DRRM because of the support and benevolence of our officials, we are all motivated to work as a team,” Carillo lamented.
