The Department of Interior and Local Government awarded The Local Government of Nunungan with a plaque for the 2020 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Best Performer Award as one of the ten (10) LGUs in the province which has sustained the drug-cleared status of their drug-affected barangays.
Mayor Marcos Mamay formally received the said award and thanked the DILG for the recognition.
Along with Nunungan, the following LGUs also recieved their award: Kauswagan, Kolambugan, Linamon, Magsaysay, Matungao, Sapad, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Tagoloan, Tangcal and Tubod.
“The town has been a consistent awardee since 2018. We are one with the National Government and President Duterte’s anti-illegal drug campaign,” Mayor Mamay said.
