Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay joined the 1st quarter meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) held recently at the Multi-Purpose Building, Capitol Grounds, Pigcarangan in Tubod town.

The DILG-Lanao del Norte PD Bruce Colao thanked Governor Angging Dimaporo ( Chairperson) for giving her extra miles on the effort of sustaining peace and development of the province and its communities.

The meeting was so important because the province also celebrates the month of March as the “Month of Peace. One of the advocates who joined the council meeting who discussed the importance of the “Month of Peace” was Musa Sanguila of Pakigdait, Inc.

The majority of the council members tackled various concerns like the recommendation of the extension of the BARMM-BTA until 2025, AFP assessment report about the report of the existence of lawless groups inside their AOR presented by the new CO, Update on the Anti-Drug campaign by the PDEA, PNP’s report aired by the new LDN-PD, the appeal of the provincial officials for continued peace and development and many others.

” The PPOC, PADAC joint meeting also tackled the effort of the multi-stakeholders against illegal loggers which cases already filed in our local courts,” Mayor Mamay stressed.

The quarterly meeting of PPOC-PADAC has been very important because council members’ certainly have the opportunity to air out their concerns which need prompt actions from significant agencies of the government.
