Nunungan Mayor Marcos along with other two administration mayors attended the recent State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte at the Batasan Pambansa.

He is very thankful with the privilege of viewing the huge political gathering with the benevolence of Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo.

” Thank you very much Gov. Angging, na nakita ko na naman ang mga malalaking pulitiko sa bansa during SONA.” Mayor Mamay stressed.

The president with his antics of addressing the public, discussed how his administration struggling hard in a government full of traditionalism and self-centeredness particularly tackling the issue of corruption and illegal drugs. Though, the president still hopeful for a real shift if all the people in the government will do their job seriously.

“We have a lot of things to do as public servants, we are hurdling our problem that emanates within the bureaucracy. Ang problema at kalaban natin ay mismo ang ating mga sarili. Ito ang aking pagka-intindi ko sa sinasabi ng president and for me, I heard a big challenge during the SONA. “Mayor Mamay explained in an interview.

“Kami sa Lanao del Norte sa pangunguna ng aming mga provincial leaders, ang dami na naming nagawa. Pero we know pretty well na walang boundary ang commitment natin sa mga tao, we need to do more for the betterment of the people especially for Nununganians. Kaya saludo ako sa challenge na sinasabi ni PPRD.” Mayor Mamay added.
