Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay with Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo recently convened the big warring families of the town (Manamparan and Mangondawis) and successfully convinced both parties to a diplomatic arrangement and signed a peace pact with holy Qur’an.
The signing of peace covenant with the two warring clans was held at MCC Gym, Sagadan, Tubod town, witnessed by their clan members and officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Army.

“I want to recognize the effort of Mayor Mamay for unceasingly finding ways and convinced the Mangondawis and Manamparan families to come forward and voluntarily commit and abide with the agreement,” Governor Dimaporo said.

Governor Dimaporo also recognized the hard work of Police Major Salman Saad and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Acmad Taha for their perseverance in settling “Rido” of the province.

However, Mayor Mamay expressed his gratitude for the warm support given by the provincial government led by Governor Dimaporo.

“Nununganians are blessed to have provincial leaders who are very supportve about sustainable peace and development especially to our lady governor, Gov. Angging and also to our two congressmen. All these rounds of “Rido” settlements made possible also through the support of General Facundo Palafox of the PA and PNP PD PCOL Rolindo Suguilon and other stakeholders, “Mayor Mamay said.
