The municipality of Nunungan, a landlocked town in the province of Lanao del Norte has fully completed the distribution of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) assistance to its beneficiaries.

Nunungan Mayor Marcos thanked President Rodrigo Duterte for approving the budget intended for the poor families in the town who benefited the distribution of the cash assistance helping people affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). He personally witnessed the processes made by the MSWDO in giving the social support fund to identified recipients to ensure that those who received were people living below poverty threshold level.

“Nununganians are thankful for receiving P6,000 per family. Indeed, it is a big help especially this time of ECQ and health emergency,” Mayor Mamay said.

He also thanked Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo for always providing support to his constituency. Likewise, Mamay appreciated the support of the national government agencies during the series of SAP payout particularly the DSWD, DILG, AFP, PNP, barangay officials, Barangay Health Workers and others involved in the processing and attending the payout of thousand families as recipient of SAP.

“The people of my town appreciated the assistance from national government, because it helps a lot since ECQ put them in quandary having limited movements with strict protocol to just stay at home,” Mamay added.
