The local government of Nunungan headed by Mayor Marcos Mamay emphasized the integral role of local officials in ensuring reliable electricity service especially to outlying barangays or communities.

True to his commitment to provide stable power connections to all Nunungan communities, Mayor Mamay made a personal visit to the central office of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and directly discussed possible seamless distribution of electricity to different households.

He apprised support from various stakeholders and residents of his town about the importance of rural electrification as instrumental in the upliftment of the living standard of his constituents in accordance with the seven-point agenda of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Recently, the LGU of Nunungan has provided electricity using solar power to identified communities as prelude of a sustainable power source from LANECO as distribution facility of the province.
