THE Nunungan Municipal Anti-Drugs Abuse Council (NMADAC) has been proclaimed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as the most functional municipal anti-drugs abuse body this year in the entire Region 10.
According to Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay NMADAC garnered the highest rate of 100 functionality points or The Gold (Ideal Perfect High functionality) in the municipal category.
List of LGU’s adjudged by the DILG with the said award are Province of Davao Oriental (Region 11), City of Pasig (NCR), Quezon City (NCR), City of San Juan (NCR), City of Valenzuela (NCR), City of Alominos, Pangasinan (Region 1), City of Tacurong(Sultan Kudarat), Agoo-Launion (Region 1), Balaoan ( La-Union Region 1) San Gabriel ( La Union Region 1), San Gabriel ( La Union Region 1), Bayambang ( Pangasinan), Bagac (Bataan), Orani ( Bataan), Pilar ( Bataan), Carmona ( Cavite), Torrijos ( Marinduque), Nunungan ( Lanao del Norte), Pantukan ( Campostella Valley), Surallah ( South Cotabato), Columbio ( Sultan Kudarat) and Esparanza ( Sultan Kudarat).
The functionality award will be conferred in a ceremony scheduled on December 29, 2018 at the the Tent City, Manila Hotel, Metro Manila.
This award justifies the accomplishments in the implementation of various programs and activities against illegal drugs and fostering good emergency preparedness.
Mayor Mamay congratulated NMADAC members for having been adjudged as most functional in the region, the first recognition ever since the creation Municipal Anti- Drug Abuse Council.
Mayor Mamay, is the the chairperson of NMADAC.
