The local government of Nunungan has earned its second consecutive award from the Manila Times. The “Social Services Oriented Award” was received by Mayor Marcos Mamay with son (GMA Artist Angelo) conferred by Manila Times executives during Philippine Model Cities and Municipalities Event held recently at Conrad Hotel, Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Last year, Manila Times awarded Nunungan as “Most Promising Municipality” as a preview award for Municipal Category for this year’s awarding.

Manila Times recognized Nunungan, through its local officials headed by Mayor Mamay for effective prioritization and implementation of projects for the people of the town with the help of government agencies through multi-dimensional approach.

Nununganians prior to Mayor Mamay’s administration were deprived for decades the availment of basic needs like access roads, enough school buildings, potable water supply and other unmet needs. But all these long-ridden problems have been addressed by the current administration in just more than a year of incumbency.

Mamay vows to continue the local government’s effort of implementing fitting programs that would help alleviate the living standard of Nunungan residents. He expressed his gratitude to Nununganians for their unwavering support to the municipality’s undertakings.
