The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Nunungan completed its distribution of relief goods to its twenty five (25) barangays comprised of 250 sacks of rice, 125 cases of can goods and 2500 packs of assorted dried noodles. This is the second round of quick distribution to recipient families in town who are currently under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Punong Barangays have already distributed assistance to their respective constituents maximizing their 5 percent calamity funds from its Barangay Internal Revenue Allocation (IRA).

The municipal level distribution was made possible with the support of various key leaders/volunteers from the LGU and barangays.

“The distribution was made easy because of Bayanihan. Thank you so much to our Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) led by MDRRMO Mark Toylo Carillo, MSWDO Corazon Lauron Villondo, OIC-MHO Vic Stephen Gonzales Grancina, all Barangay Captains, LGU employees and many others. We finished our distribution with compliance of Bayanihan: We Heal As One Act like Physical Distancing and others. Nununganians believe na kaya natin ito sa pamamagitan ng Bayanihan: We Heal As One Filipino People, One Country working together to fight COVID 19,”Mayor Marcos Mamay cited.

Meanwhile, the members of Municipal PNP in Nunungan town have been recognized for their initiative supporting indigent families in this time of crisis due to COVID 19 menace. Nunungan MPS has implemented a program dubbed as ADOPT-A-FAMILY PROGRAM where PNP adopted numbers of families and provided them food packs enough for consumption for couple of weeks or more.

“Thank you PNP that you also shared your support to residents of Masibay and for adopting families in dire of basic needs nowadays,” Mayor Mamay said.
