The members of Mayor’s League – Lanao del Norte Chapter attended the recent General Assembly of League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City.
The group was led by its League President – Kapatagan town Mayor Barry Baguio.
“It’s nice to meet all leaders in the country and discuss doable things. But the recent LMP assembly was highlighted with President Duterte’s speech concerning government’s interventions and direction to combat corona virus disease,” Nunungan town Mayor Marcos Mamay lamented.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivered his speech anchored on his concern on the readiness and availability of facilities to manage the numbers of infected individuals but cited his confidence that rich countries would soon discover vaccine for the COVID 19.
“I am sure that technologically-advanced nations like Russia, U.S., and Japan are already working on a vaccine to combat the coronavirus disease (COVID-19),” President Duterte said.
