More peddlers carrying their products and services visited the municipality of Nunungan as the town conducted the re-opening of its Market Day. The local government is more determined now to sustain the Market flea day scheduled every Monday as other agencies of the government also launched its programs and projects like the DICT and TESDA with the same purpose of assisting the local potential entrepreneurs.

“We notice that more people not only residents in Nunungan are excited to join “Tabo” or Market Day but most of them are coming from nearby places who have confidence that the town is now safe and well-governed. Thanks to all my partners in service, my co-elected officials, municipal employees and barangay officials with their commitment and support to all our undertakings,” Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay said.

It can be recalled that the local government (since the inception of Team Mamay) has been in the forefront of realizing various infrastructure projects in the municipality to cater the needs of the general populace particularly the good road network.

“Madali na kaming maka-punta sa Nunungan kaya mas nakakabenta ako ng sorbetes kahit pa hanggang sa liblib na mga barangay, dahil peaceful kasi ang lugar,” ice cream vendor said in an interview.

The re-opening of the Market Day was officially launched recently at the Development Site of the New Government Center in Sitio Bobong of Barangay Abaga. Other activities were also conducted such as One-Stop-Shop services (Medical Mission/Distribution of Wheelchairs and Medicines, Feeding Program, Distribution of Seedlings), Turnover of Tractor and Corn Sheller by Engineer Abdul Haris Paporo of the Department of Agriculture and various sports activities had been conducted.
