TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – The members of the Joint Provincial Development Council (PDC), Provincial Peace and Order (PPOC), and Provincial Anti-illegal Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) recently convened at the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium on February 2, 2022, for their first joint meeting for the year 2022.

As the Chairman of the joint councils, Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo presided over the meeting. In her message, Governor Dimaporo thanks the regular members of the committees for their contribution, especially in sustaining peace and order in every locality.

The meeting paved the way to award the outstanding ADAC performance to PGLDN and municipalities for 2019-2020. The plaques were conferred by the Dangerous Drugs Board and the Department of Interior Local Government. For Region 10, the province of Lanao del Norte has garnered the most highly functional LGUs. There are 14 municipalities awarded for 2019 (Bacolod, Baloi, Kapatagan, Salvador, Baroy, Kauswagan, Linamon, Magsaysay, Nunungan, Matungao, SND, Tagoloan, Tangcal & Pantao Ragat), while 13 municipalities stood for 2020 (Kolambugan, Poona Piagapo, Sapad, Baroy, Kauswagan, Linamon, Magsaysay, Nunungan, Matungao, SND, Tagoloan, Tangcal & Pantao Ragat).

Aside from the LGU’s, the Province of Lanao del Norte, through Governor Dimaporo, also received the 2019 Functionality Award. The award was given to recognize the exemplary actions and efforts of Governor Dimaporo in implementing programs for Anti-illegal Drug Abuse in every community.

During the joint meeting, the members of the three councils have passed the resolution adopting and approving the Peace & Order and Confidential Funds Utilization Program for CY 2022 and the passage of a Resolution Adopting the Supplemental 2022 AIP-1 for the province. Upon the proposal of Provincial Director Bruce Colao of LDN- DILG, the August body also passed the following resolutions; (1) A Resolution Respectfully Requesting the Regional Task Force (RTF) ELCAC 10 for the Conduct of “Serbisyo Caravan” in the MILF Communities under 127th Base Command in Bacayawan, Munai, Lanao del Norte and 123rd Base Command in Kiazar, Lanao del Norte, All of the MILF Core of Camp Bilal, MILF North-Western Mindanao Front in Coordination with the Provincial Government and the Respective Municipalities, (2) A Resolution Respectfully Requesting the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through DSWD Regional Office 10 Regional Director to include the Children and Immediate Family(ies) of the Former Rebels (FRs) then belonging to the CPP-NPA Enrolled by the ECLIP Committee of Lanao Del Norte under the ECLIP Program either Regular or Militia ng Bayan (MB) as the case may be, for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and other Educational or Support Program of the DSWD- this is in support to the RPOC Resolution No. 9, Series of 2021. and (3) A Resolution Respectfully Endorsing to the Joint Task Force on Camp Bilal Transformation the Identified and Prioritized PPAs from the Convergence and Harmonization Efforts of MILF Community Development Plans in the 123rd, 125th, and 127th Base Commands and for the same to be Integrated into the Camp Transformation Plan of Camp Bilal and for Other Purposes.

Governor Dimaporo also appealed for the constant support of the PNP and AFP in intensifying the security measures in our borders, especially in this coming election.

“We want to have an honest, orderly, and peaceful election. We need your support and hope that you will take it seriously”, Governor Dimaporo said.

The AFP and PNP vowed to sustain coordinative efforts with the province’s Election Supervisor and Election Officers concerning preparations for the forthcoming 2022 National and Local Elections. PIO-LDN
