The Commission on Population (POPCOM) – Lanao del Norte, conducted a Family Planning (FP) Information and Service Delivery Caravan to the different towns of the province to determine high unmet needs for family planning.

The team recently visited the municipality of Nunungan headed by POPCOM Region 10 representative Kristin Karagdag, POPCOM-LDN Head Annanette Daniel, Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay with barangay and town officials.

Mayor Mamay said the caravan is very vital to propagate exact information as to birth spacing to ensure good reproductive health status especially those birthing and lactating mothers.

“Nag-advocate kita for Responsible Parenthood subay sa Reproductive Health Act. With the support of all local partners and stakeholders in the province, precise information and services for all women and couples will be achieved,” Mayor Mamay said during the caravan.

“ If all of us maka-appreciate sa importance sa responsible parenthood then mas musamot pa nga maangkon nato ang atong mga plano sa community and government kay himsog man ang matag pamilya, “ POPCOM-LDN Officer Daniel explained.
