RDC-X HOLDS ITS 135TH FULL COUNCIL MEETING

Cagayan de Oro City – Nunungan Mayor Marcos Mamay, the National Vice-President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines for External Affairs formally attended the 135th Regional Development Full Council Meeting (RDC-10) held at the Platinum Hall, Mallberry Suites and Business Hotel on September 28, 2023.

The said meeting was spearheaded by the RDC Chair Governor Angging Quibranza-Dimaporo. Members are actively deliberating 46 agenda items, eight of which are legislative measures awaiting enactment. The RDC-X Full Council is set to consider supporting the following bills:

• House Bill (HB) No. 9135 – An Act Mandating Government Agencies to allocate at least 10% of their Budget for Furniture and Fixtures for Products using Engineered Bamboo and other Bamboo-based Commodities as part of the Country’s Campaign towards the Use and Production of Sustainable Materials;

• HB No. 9144 – An Act Integrating Bamboo as a Sustainable Material for the Built Environment;

• HB No. 7216 – Universal Accessibility Act of 2023;

• HB No. 8269 – An Act Protecting the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons and Penalizing the Acts of Arbitrary Internal Displacement;

• HB No. 6558 and Senate Bill (SB) No. 2386 – Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Bill;

• HB No. 4125 and SB No. 2224 – Ease of Paying Taxes Bill;

• HB No. 7240 and SB. No. 2126 – National Government Rightsizing Bill; and• HB No. 7327 and SB. No. 1978 – E-Governance Bill.
